80021 - ECHO/PULSE - Hard drive space needed to save all data from a full smartpen to Mac Echo or Livescribe Desktop
How much hard drive space do I need to save all of my data from my smartpen to my Mac Echo or Livescribe Desktop?
In order to transfer all of your data from your smartpen to your Mac Echo or Livescribe Desktop you will need enough free drive space to save the data that is on the smartpen plus twice that amount for processing your data.
To transfer 1GB of data from your smartpen you would need 3GBs of free space on the hard drive containing the "Livescribe" folder, to transfer 2GBs of data from your smartpen you would need 6GBs of free drive space, etc.
To check the amount of available drive space:
- Activate your "Finder" menu by clicking somewhere on an unused area of your desktop.
- From the menu options at the top of your desktop (Finder, File, Edit, View, Go, etc.) click "Go".
- Select "Computer".
- Hold down the "control" key, select your hard drive ("Macintosh HD" by default), and then select "Get Info" from the menu that appears.
The remaining hard drive space will appear next to "Available:"
