80010 - ECHO/PULSE - Hard drive space needed to save all data from a full smartpen to Windows Echo or Livescribe Desktop
How much hard drive space do I need to save all of my data from my smartpen to my Windows Echo or Livescribe Desktop?
In order to transfer all of your data from your smartpen to your Windows Echo Desktop or Livescribe Desktop you will need enough free drive space to save the data that is on the smartpen plus an equal amount for processing your data.
To transfer 1GB of data from your smartpen you would need 2GBs of free space on the hard drive containing the "Livescribe" folder, to transfer 2GBs of data from your smartpen you would need 4GBs of free drive space, etc.
To check the amount of available drive space:
- Windows 8/10 - press the Windows key (between "Ctrl" and "Alt" on the keyboard) to go to the classic desktop view and click the folder on the taskbar to open File Explorer. Windows 7/Vista/XP - Right-click on the Windows "Start" button and select "Open Windows Explorer" (7) / "Explore" (Vista/XP).
- Right-click on "Local Disk (C:)" and select "Properties".
The remaining hard drive space will appear next to "Free space:"
