85310 - ECHO/PULSE - Windows Livescribe Desktop message - “Transfer failure - The following items failed to transfer: <Notebook Name> / <Audio Recordings>.”

I have tried several times to re-dock my smartpen but I keep getting the Windows Livescribe Desktop message "Transfer failure - The following items failed to transfer: <Notebook Name> / <Audio Recordings>."

If you are getting the message: 

"Transfer failure - The following items failed to transfer: <Notebook Name>.  There was an error connecting to your smartpen.  Please re-dock your smartpen and try again..."

…or…

"Transfer failure - The following items failed to transfer: <Audio Recordings>.  There was an error connecting to your smartpen.  Please re-dock your smartpen and try again..."

…but re-docking your smartpen has not resolved the issue, try renaming your Connect data folder:

201211 - Windows - Renaming the Connect data folder

…and then try renaming your Windows Livescribe Desktop data folder:

201210 - Windows - Renaming the Livescribe Desktop data folder


…to get your data to transfer.
