Here are a couple example scenarios for accessing and playing Livescribe PDFs.

These examples work for teachers who want to share lesson pencasts with their students and also with themselves.

Scnario #1: Livescribe+ Pencast

Instructor Sharing Pencast: Teacher #1
Source of Pencast: Teacher's iPad
Intended Destination: Moodle accessed by student (or Blackboard or school website)
Intended Recipient: Student #3
Recipient's Device: iPhone

The pencast in this scenario has been created with a Livescribe 3 smartpen and stored in the Livescribe+ app on the teacher's iPad.  The pencast will need to be:

  1. Exported as a Livescribe PDF.  The teacher can save the Livescribe PDF to Dropbox, OneNote, or email it to the teacher's own email account (83300 - LIVESCRIBE+ - Sharing (exporting) notes and audio).
  2. Uploaded by the teacher to Moodle (or Blackboard or the school website) from their Windows or Mac computer.
  3. Downloaded/saved from Moodle by Student #3 on the student's Windows or Mac computer.
  4. Uploaded to Dropbox (as an example) by the student from their Windows or Mac computer.
  5. Opened from Dropbox with Livescribe+ on the student's iPhone (83350 - LIVESCRIBE+ - Importing notes and audio into Livescribe+).

Scenario #2 - Emailed Pencast

Instructor Sharing Pencast: Teacher #1
Source of Pencast: Teacher's iPhone
Intended Destination: Email
Intended Recipient: Teacher #2
Recipient's Device: Mac

The pencast in this scenario has been created with a Livescribe 3 smartpen and stored in the Livescribe+ app on Teacher #1's iPhone.  The pencast will need to be:

  1. Exported by Teacher #1 as a Livescribe PDF using iOS "Mail" and emailed to Teacher #2 (83300 - LIVESCRIBE+ - Sharing (exporting) notes and audio).
  2. Opened from the email account of Teacher #2 and saved to their Mac computer.
  3. Opened and played in Livescribe Player or Echo Desktop on the recipient teacher's Mac computer (83301 - LIVESCRIBE+/ECHO/PULSE - Playing/accessing Livescribe PDF notes and audio from a Windows or Mac computer).
