ECHO/PULSE - Deleting recorded audio sessions using Echo/Livescribe Desktop

How do I delete recorded audio sessions using Echo or Livescribe Desktop?

Using Echo or Livescribe Desktop you can delete recorded audio sessions off of your smartpen and off of the Livescribe Desktop.  

NOTE:   If you delete sessions off of your smartpen AND Echo/Livescribe Desktop, they will be permanently removed.  There is no way to recover this data once it is deleted.  However, if you have already uploaded your sessions from the Livescribe Desktop to Livescribe Online (MyLivescribe), you can continue to replay your notes online.

Deleting Sessions

Windows Users:

1. Open Echo/Livescribe Desktop.
2. Dock your smartpen to the USB charging cable.
3. Click the "Audio" button (upper left).

To delete sessions off of your smartpen:

1. Select the session(s) you want to delete.  You can multi-select using your keyboard "Shift" or "Ctrl" keys.
2. Right-click on the selected session(s) and select "Remove Audio from Smartpen…"
3. You will be prompted to confirm you want to delete the session.  Click "OK" and you will receive a confirmation in the main message bar of the removal of your session(s).

To delete sessions off of your Echo/Livescribe Desktop:

1. Select the session(s) you want to delete.  You can multi-select using your keyboard "Shift" or "Ctrl" keys.
2. Right-click on the selected session(s) and select "Delete Audio from Echo/Livescribe Desktop…"
3. You will be prompted to confirm you want to delete the session.  Click "OK" and you will receive a confirmation in the main message bar of the removal of your session(s).

Mac Users:

1. Open Echo/Livescribe Desktop.
2. Dock your smartpen to the USB charging cable.
3. In the left side-bar click the ">" arrow to expand "AUDIO" and click on "Sessions".

NOTE:   You must FIRST delete the session from your smartpen and THEN delete the session from Mac Echo/Livescribe Desktop.

To delete sessions off of your smartpen:

1. Select the session(s) you want to delete.  You can multi-select using your keyboard "shift" or "command" keys.
2. Press your "control" key, click on the selected session(s), and select "Remove Session(s) from Smartpen…"
3. You will be prompted to confirm you want to delete the session. Click "Remove" and the session(s) will be removed.
4. Click "OK".

To delete sessions off of your Echo/Livescribe Desktop:

1. Select the session(s) you want to delete.  You can multi-select using your keyboard "shift" or "command" keys.
2. Press your "control" key, click on the selected session(s), and select "Delete Session(s) from Echo/Livescribe Desktop…"  NOTE:  You will only see this prompt if you have already removed the session(s) from your smartpen.
3. You will be prompted to confirm you want to delete the session. Click "Remove" and the session(s) will be removed.
4. Click "OK".
