Do I need an internet connection in order to use my Livescribe 3 smartpen?

Your Livescribe 3 smartpen is always capturing your pen strokes as long as it is powered on and you are using your Livescribe dot paper, so you don't need to be connected to the Internet. A Bluetooth connection to your iOS 9 (or later) or Android 5 (or later) device is needed to transfer your pen strokes to the Livescribe 3 app, but you can record up to 20,000 pages of Livescribe notebook pages with your smartpen before you need to transfer the information.
