LIVESCRIBE 3 - Turning off smartpen LED

How do I turn the LED off for my Livescribe 3 smartpen?

Currently turning the LED off on the Livescribe 3 smartpen is not an option. This is a feature request that has been forwarded to Product Management for consideration.
