88002 - LIVESCRIBE+ - Pairing with iOS device required each time smartpen connects to device

Why do I have to pair my smartpen every time I connect to Livescribe+ on my iOS device?  Shouldn't it connect automatically? 

If after pairing your Livescribe 3 smartpen with Livescribe+ on your iOS device, you shut down the app, start it again and have to pair once more, this is an issue with iOS 8.  The solution to this problem is to set a PIN code for your smartpen.  This will maintain the pairing each time the smartpen connects with Livescribe+.
