WIFI/ECHO - Smartpen OLED display symbols

What do the symbols on the smartpen OLED display screen mean?

Below are the symbols that can display on your smartpen.

Livescribe WiFi Smartpens:

The indicator on the left (one bar) indicates the Livescribe wifi smartpen is not connected to a WiFi network and cannot sync data.



The indicator on the left (two bars) indicates the Livescribe wifi smartpen is in the process of connecting to a WiFi network but is not yet connected and cannotsync data.



The indicator on the left (three bars) indicates the Livescribe wifi smartpen is connected to a WiFi network and can sync data.



The indicator on the left (no bars) indicates the Livescribe wifi smartpen is connected to a WiFi network but the smartpen WiFi is turned off so the smartpen cannot sync data.  Turn WiFi back on using the "Wifi Off/On" button on the inside cover of the WiFi Starter Notebook.



The indicator on the left indicates the Livescribe wifi smartpen IS connected to a network but DOES NOT have an internet connection and cannot sync data.  Try getting closer to the router.  If that doesn't help then try using the "Forget a network" option found in 20307 - Smartpen Settings menu and then connecting to that network again.

All Smartpens:



The "Battery" button located on the inside cover of each Livescribe paper product is used to see the current battery charge. The indicator pictured shows a full battery.



The exclamation point inside the battery indicates there are only 1 or 2 bars of battery power remaining.

The plug and blinking battery indicator means the smartpen needs to be charged as there are no bars of battery power remaining.



A battery and lightning bolt symbol will be displayed on the smartpen when it is charging.  This indicator will always display when the smartpen is docked to the USB charging cable, even if the battery is full.



The circled exclamation mark indicator on the right side of the OLED indicates the available memory on the smartpen is almost full.
