84400 - LIVESCRIBE+ - iOS - Sharing (exporting) notes and audio

How do I export my notes and audio from Livescribe+?

You can share (export) your notes and audio from Livescribe+ in three different ways:

  • As multiple pages with or without audio (Livescribe PDF)
  • As individual pages with or without audio (Livescribe PDF)
  • As snippets (JPG or PNG image, editable text, or Livescribe PDF)

To start sharing:

  1. From the Apple App Store, install the app you want to share to if it is not already installed (e.g. OneNote, Evernote, Dropbox, Box, etc.).  NOTE:  If you are sharing to the "Mail" app, make sure your Mail account is set up and active under the iOS device's "Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars".  If it is not then Livescribe+ will close the apps share window when this share option is selected and nothing will be shared.
  2. Run the Livescribe+ app.
  3. Pair the pen and transfer your notes (84100 - LIVESCRIBE 3 - Pairing Livescribe 3 for first time to an iOS 9 (or later) device).

NOTES:

  • Currently, there is an option to share an entire notebook by tapping on the notebook name or notebook cover, tapping the Share icon in the lower left, and selecting Mail, OneNote, or "Open In…" for other share options.  The note pages that are shared will not contain audio, however.  If you want to share an entire notebook with audio, you must share all of the individual pages of the notebook.
  • You can only share pencasts (audio) from the Pencasts view.
  • Snippets shared from the Feed View will be exported as a PDF, not a Livescribe PDF.  This means that the PDF cannot be exported back into Livescribe+ on another device (or Echo Desktop for customers that own an Echo smartpen).
  • Sharing a single page of a multi-page pencast is not possible.
  • Snippets cannot be shared with audio.
  • Livescribe PDFs can be opened by any PDF reader app.  These files can also be imported into Livescribe+ installed on another compatible iOS 9 (or later) device (83350 - LIVESCRIBE+ - Importing notes and audio into Livescribe+) or played from a PC or Mac (82457 - LIVESCRIBE+ - Playing/accessing notes and audio exported from Livescribe+ using Livescribe Player).

Twitter and Facebook do not share options in the "P84400 age" or "Pencast" view.  To access these options you must be in the "Feed" view (please see the SHARING SNIPPETS section below for more information).
